State of the Art Addiction Treatment at SageWalk Chemical Dependency Program

SageWalk is an innovative and challenging option to traditional adolescent drug and alcohol rehabilitation. In SageWalk, we do not push one theory; rather we take an eclectic approach to adolescent addiction treatment. Treatment approaches are up to date and we do not believe that harsh confrontation is effective. We strive to offer as much choice in treatment as possible. Treatment methods include Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive and Behavioral Restructuring, 12-step model, and Harm Reduction Approaches. Our students move through the Stages of Change at their own pace with support and acceptance. SageWalk strives to individualize every student’s treatment plans according to their need.

Our goal is for students to take accountability for their past while working on building a solid plan for change and stability in their futures. Students leave SageWalk with solid relapse prevention plans and refusal skills. SageWalk works with families and educational consultants in finding aftercare treatment for students with complex drug abuse/addiction issues.

SageWalk, employs specialized licensed chemical dependency counselors who work with students in a novel, safe, and healing wilderness environment. Our professionally developed program offers medical and emotional assessment in addition to placing students in an appropriate level of drug and alcohol treatment.

A typical student in SageWalk, has abused substances to the point of family, school, behavior, and social interference. Each student is facilitated through a complex journey of self-awareness, accountability, and pride in authenticity. Our students will have professional support and guidance through their arduous journey towards sobriety and self-acceptance.
