Our Programs

SageWalk offers two programs—the Family Reunification and the Youth Transition Program. The purpose of each transition program is teaching and preparing the student for the next step in their life.

FamilyFamily Reunification Program - provides an experience designed for students that are returning home following graduation from SageWalk. This track includes an intense family component that aids the student and their family in healing. The focus of this track is to ensure that the student's growth and progress is sustained upon returning home. Specific clinical strategies are developed based on the strengths of the individual student and the family.

  • A minimum of 60 days in the Wilderness
  • 2 sessions per week with a Masters level therapist
  • An intense family component that aids in family healing
  • Weekly parent communication with the therapist
  • Parental participation in the SageWalk "Choices" Program
  • SageWalk Rite-of-Passage Program
  • SageWalk Primitive Skills Program
  • Parent workshop upon graduation
  • Six months of Coaching and Aftercare Services
  • Two year re-admittance policy
  • Academic credit through the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools
  • Certificate of Graduation
Total for Tuition and Gear Fees: $27,850.00

StrengthPreparation/ Youth Transition Program - provides an experience designed for students that need continued structure beyond typical family life. This student transition and recovery program prepares the student for the independence that is necessary to be successful in an academic environment away from the student's home. This transition program is teaching students to be successful and prepared to handle what they’ll encounter in life.

  • Minimum of 30-days in the Wilderness
  • 2 sessions per week with a Masters level therapist
  • Weekly parent communication with the therapist
  • An assessment in assisting families and professionals in determining the students "next step"
  • Recommendation for the "next step" placement.
  • Parental participation in the SageWalk "Choices" Program
  • SageWalk Rite-of-Passage Program
  • SageWalk Primitive Skills Program
  • Academic credit through the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools
  • Certificate of Graduation
Total for Tuition and Gear Fees: $14,650.00

Student transition and recovery program extensions are possible when clinically appropriate.

Post Graduation Follow Up

  • The completion of a SageWalk program is only the beginning
  • Each student (and family) who completes the Family Reunification 60-day program is contacted regularly to monitor progress
  • Post Graduation Specialists provide support in conjunction with local professionals working with the student
  • Family Coaching Program
